Laura Mooney has a 30-year track record of successfully positioning software/SaaS companies for market leadership and growth. Most recently, she served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Solovis, a cloud-based technology platform for institutional investors. In this role, she led the transformation of the company’s messaging and positioning and ran its corporate marketing, product marketing and demand generation functions. The result was accelerated revenue growth and global market awareness, leading to the company’s acquisition by Nasdaq at a 15x ARR valuation in March 2020.
Her global view, creativity and passion for articulating the value of technology motivated Laura to start Time2Market (t2m) and become an early leader in offering fractional CMO services. Time2Market is a strategic marketing agency and fractional CMO service specializing in business-to-business marketing of mid-to-late stage growth companies, with a specific focus on enterprise software, SaaS and Cloud-based products and services.
Laura Mooney has helped lead 3 successful software company exits. She has significant expertise in marketing strategy, brand development, product marketing and corporate communications. She brings a unique blend of business knowledge and creativity to help firms accelerate B2B sales cycles and position themselves to achieve goals related to market leadership, growth and M&A. Prior to joining Solovis full-time, Laura Mooney served as an outsourced fractional CMO for two fintech companies with tenures spanning 3-5 years. One of these companies grew 20% year-over-year and surpassed $100M in revenues under her marketing leadership. The other consistently hit growth targets, established a market leadership position and attracted an acquisition offer of 7x revenues – an exit valuation that delivered multi-million dollar returns to its CEO and investors.
Laura Mooney also spent eight years as a vice president at Metastorm where she established the company’s corporate marketing, product marketing and corporate communications functions. She was instrumental in Metastorm’s growth, integrating and branding four acquisitions, preparing an S-1 filing, and helping the company achieve a strong valuation in its ultimate sale to OpenText in February 2011.
Laura holds a BBA degree in Information Systems from James Madison University and an MBA degree with a Marketing concentration from the University of Maryland, Smith School of Business. She sits on the board of directors of House of Ruth Maryland.
